Kim Fugate
Kim Fugate completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. While at UNC-Chapel Hill, she was a Dean’s List Recipient and an active member of Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Health Honors Society.
After completing her Bachelors in Nursing at UNC-Chapel Hill, she worked in a Cardiac Intermediate Unit at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in NC and then a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where she recovered Trauma and Cardiac ICU patients. In addition to taking care of ICU patients, she worked part-time for a plastic surgeon recovering patients from various cosmetic surgeries. It was there where she became interested in the field of aesthetics after observing her plastic surgery mentor inject patients and learning about multiple aesthetic procedures along with skincare.
After marrying her husband, Dr. Mark Fugate (Vascular Surgeon at University Surgical Associates), she relocated to Baltimore, Maryland and worked at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where she worked in the Pediatric PACU with renowned surgeons like Dr. Ben Carson and Dr. John Gearhart.
After Mark completed his vascular fellowship, the two made their home in Chattanooga, Tenn. Kim took a job at Parkridge in the Cardiac Recovery Unit. After having her first child, Kim pursued a Masters in Science of Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Southern Adventist University where she graduated with honors. She also received the prestigious FNP Clinical Excellence Award, bestowed upon the individual exhibiting excellence in both academics and clinical performance. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Upon passing her Nurse Practitioner Board Exam, Kim was offered a position at Galen Medical Group working at the Hamilton County Employee Health Clinic providing primary care to Hamilton County employees. She works with both the pediatric and adult population.
For years now, Kim has dedicated herself to the art of aesthetics by taking advanced courses, completing training workshops and being mentored by the experts in the discipline. She has completed the Aesthetic Advancements Institute where she mastered facial anatomy and injection of patients with both neuromodulators and various fillers. Most recently, Kim has completed training on the innovative Vampire procedures. She has attended national meetings discussing advancements in facial rejuvenation and continues to increase her knowledge base to provide future patients with the most innovative techniques.
Kim and her husband Mark have three children, Keaton, who is seven years old, Kase who is six years old, and Eva who is three years old. Her favorite activity is running and challenging herself in the gym. She absolutely loves weight lifting and pushing herself to achieve optimal physical fitness. Her other hobbies include reading nonfiction, traveling, and enjoying a good glass of vino.
